  Born	Abt 1842	Prospect, New South Wales, Australia
  	There are a few websites, including public trees on Ancestry that indicate that George Thomas Mathews' parents are Henry Mathews & Susan or Susannah Morris. One particular tree has these parents listed and George being born in 1849 but also arriving on a ship in 1841 at the age of 5 and when you look at the shipping index the names of the parents are different. This is clearly incorrect. I have contacted these people but no one has responded to provide the details or sources as to how they came about this. It's obvious people haven't looked nor researched the information correclty. No record of George' death has been found, though he did leave his family in the September 1894 as noted in the Police Gazette in Feb 1895. Ellen Mathews was about 7 months pregnant when George left. No record of his birth has been found and I have not found any record to show who his parents were.

  	Various death certificates have been obtained between 1894 & 1915 to find George's death. No trace of his death has been found to date. George's parents are not known but: A John Mathews is listed in the 1841 NSW census located at: Prospect Parish - Parramatta Return number: 689 Item: 1948, Page 63. Reel 2222
