Mary Ryan (or Hanratty), was born in the mid 1830's at Dungong or Clarence Town New South Wales. I am looking to find her birth. She married John Shoulders in 1851 and Edward Beezley in 1856. Mary?s marriage certificate on her first marriage has her name as Ryan, but her death certificate stated her father's name as Arthur Hanratty. Mary was also given consent to marry by her guardian ?R G Massie?. On the death certificate of her daughter Mary Shoulders (later Jackson) in 1880 it stated that her mother's surname was Nauraty, which is very similar to Hanratty. The informant on the certificate was Emily Harris (Mary's sister).

George was born around the mid 1840's at Prospect New South Wales. To date I have not been able to find any birth in the NSW index's that fit George. I have checked all Births during the 1840's for possible links but all of these, I have found the corresponding death. A John Mathews is listed in the NSW 1841 census as living in the parish of Prospect, district of Parramatta The marriage certificate between Louisa Mathews and Henry Jackson indicates that George was deceased in 1897. Though on his daughter Susan in 1898, it does not indicate that he was deceased. A George Thomas Mathews was a witness to the marriage between Susan Mathews & Robert Tailby in 1899. This is likely to be the eldest brother of Susan. No record of a death for George Mathews has been found in the NSW index's. All possible deaths have been checked and there are no matches between 1894 & 1915. Update: 8th October 2009. I have the following reference in the 1895 Police Gazette: entry is dated February 1895 Boggabri -A warrant has been issued by the Boggabri Bench for the arrest of George Matthews, charged with unlawfully deserting his wife, Ellen Matthews, at Boggabri, since the 17th September last, leaving her without means of support. He is about 50 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, light hair, beard, and moustache, bow-legged, blue eyes, slovenly appearance, right leg has been broken and is shorter than the left leg ; a horse-driver and shearer. John was born to Dennis & Mary McCormack in 1871 at Maitland New South Wales. I have not been able to find his marriage or when he died. Would like to hear from anyone who might be descendant from John.

I am looking for information on Emily Mathews.
She was born in Boggabri, NSW in 1892. She first married David Cooper in 1910 at Manilla, NSW. David died in 1918 at Mudgee.
Emily then married Bert Talbot in 1919 at Mudgee, NSW.
Bert died in 1980 at Mudgee (96162 Pte; son/Arthur & Mary Ann)
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who knows if Emily & Bert had any children and when Emily died.
